then the distributor and company had a tiff and i never got my second amp 10,000wrms? wtf? are you looking to do it just to have the numbers or is there a point as to why you want so much power... i'm only running a single type r and if you get it running right, you can't listen to it for that long cos your head starts hurting... and that's only 500wrms (amp's 1000wrms monoblock) but still...
And with the alternator, if you have that much power running from the batteries, yeah it'll take longer to charge, but then you run the risk of overheating and killing the alternator, and if you don't upgrade the cabling to cope with the extra juice that it needs to put out, you could potentially start a fire... i've got some old pics somewhere of my old alternator cable, since i used to have it up at cruise meets and when it was charging on the road, it only had about 1/10th of the original cable left in the connector, so that scared the crap out of me with how hot it got and how close i was to having a fire... I've already gone through 2 alternators (second hand ones) so next one will be a brand newie with the extra capacity...
One thing you have to remember, the more power your running, the more work you have to do to get it working properly and the cabling/extra work you have to do to make sure it's safe and will last longer than 2-3 sound offs...
